Air-cooled heat exchanger features and functions

- Sep 20, 2018-

The air-cooled heat exchanger is a widely used heat exchanger in industry. Its role is to achieve the industrial demand by exchanging heat between two different temperature gases. In this way, the utilization of energy has been greatly improved, reducing industrial costs.

The air-cooled heat exchanger is a device for cooling the two gases used for heat exchange. It is generally composed of corrugated metal plates. There are four corner holes on the plate, and two gases for heat exchange pass through. The plate is mounted in a frame with a fixed plate and a movable pressure plate on one side, and clamped with clamping bolts.

The plates are equipped with gaskets that seal the fluid passages and direct fluid flow alternately into the respective channels. Corrugated plates not only increase the degree of turbulence, but also form a number of support points that are sufficient to withstand the pressure difference between the media. The metal plate and the movable pressure plate are suspended on the upper guide bar and positioned by the lower guide bar, and the bar end is fixed on the support column.

The air-cooled heat exchanger is characterized by its simple structure and low cost. Under the premise of the same heat output, the metal consumption is low, the floor space, the fluid resistance, the amount of cooling water and other items are reduced, and the investment cost is greatly reduced. . The heat loss is small, because the structure is compact and the volume is small, the external surface area of the heat exchanger is also very small, so the heat loss is also very small, and usually the equipment does not need insulation.

In addition, the air-cooled heat exchanger is compact in structure and easy to maintain. A small space can be combined with a large heat exchange area. The equipment itself can provide maintenance space without additional disassembly and installation space. It is beneficial to the use of low-temperature heat sources, safe and reliable to use, and the combination of flexible and changeable.

An air-cooled heat exchanger heat transfer method is a process in which heat is transferred from a higher-temperature portion of the object to a lower-temperature portion or to a lower-temperature another object that is in contact therewith. In this process, there is no macroscopic relative displacement between the parts of the object. Air-cooled heat exchangers are devices where high-temperature air transfers heat to cryogenic air.
