Safety essentials for air-cooled oil coolers

- Jul 25, 2019-

The design pressure of the air-cooled oil cooler is 2.0Mpa. In order to fully utilize the heat dissipation performance and extend the service life and avoid the risk of abnormal explosion, please use the independent circulation cooling method. It is not recommended to use the circuit cooling method, especially in large flow or high pressure systems; if it does not react with aluminum alloy and rust, the maximum use of fluid is ≤120 °C.

Air-cooled oil coolers are widely used, and pre-launch review is indispensable. It is necessary to examine whether all of them can be connected accurately and whether they can meet the needs of the work. Unscrew the screw plug outside the cooler outlet and slowly close the inlet valve. When the oil overflows, open the inlet valve and screw the screw plug.

Unscrew the venting cylinder in the chiller line and slowly close the inlet valve. When the water is full, the inlet valve and the exhaust cylinder are opened. At this time, the water and the oil are both in motion, and after the heat exchange, the time difference is gradually reduced. When the water temperature is lowered by 5-10 °C, open the outlet valve of the icing water and oil, and then gradually open the inlet valve of the cooling water and oil so that the cooling water and oil are in the active condition. The cooling water and flow rate are then mobilized to maintain the oil production level in normal operation.

If there is a problem in the work to stop the operation, the operation method first opens the inlet valve of the oil and cooling water, then opens the discharge valve of the oil and cooling water, and then unscrews the screw plug on the drain and drain port, and exhausts the cooling. Water and oil inside the device.
