Water-cooled and air-cooled car radiators

- May 05, 2018-

The car water radiator is a heat exchanger, and the specific reason is that the radiator is in the automobile, and the circulating water is cooled, and its fins are corrugated so as to have good heat dissipation performance. The coolant flows in the radiator core and the air passes outside the radiator core. The hot coolant radiates heat to the air and cools, and the cold air absorbs heat and heats up.

Car radiators can be classified into two types: water-cooled and air-cooled. Water-cooled car radiator: It is mainly used to cool the high-temperature coolant in the engine, while the fan is directly blown to the radiator by the ambient temperature, so that the high-temperature coolant in the radiator is cooled. Air-cooled automotive radiators: They rely on the flow of air to remove heat and achieve heat dissipation. In addition, the exterior of its engine block is a sheet structure, which can increase the heat dissipation area to meet the engine's cooling requirements.

The use of automotive radiators

(1) Car radiators, which cannot be in contact with corrosive substances or gases, so as to avoid rust and corrosion of the radiator, and thus affect the normal use of the radiator. In addition, soft water should be used so that scale inside the radiator can be avoided.

(2) In the selection of antifreeze, it must be a regular manufacturer and qualified quality, can not use substandard products, so as to avoid damage or damage to the radiator.

(3) The installation of automobile radiators should be carried out correctly and in accordance with regulations. It is not possible to use excessive force or brute force to install the radiator. This will damage the heat sink or damage the radiator, which will affect its use and service life.

(4) Car radiators should be regularly cleaned and frequently inspected. Generally, the radiator is cleaned once every 1 to 3 months. When it is cleaned, clean water is used to flush along the anti-wind direction. There can be no cleaning agent. Etc. Residue, so as to avoid rust and corrosion of the radiator, shorten its life.
